Livable Region Plan
Staff transportation planner for the Greater Vancouver Regional Distract during preparation of the Livable Region Plan.
The Livable Region Plan is probably North America’s most significant and successful integrated land use and transportation plan, preparing an entire urban region of more than two million people for growth based on sustainable transportation principles – a vastly expanded transit system and no freeway expansion. Responsibilities included coordination of transit elements of the Plan with land use projections, and with the transit project staff of the British Columbia provincial government.
